About Us

Valley Sew & Vac has been in the High Desert for 39 years. Originally owned by Bill and Helen Johnson, we opened in June of 1970 down on the lower part of 7th street. We started out carrying Singer sewing machines and did full service and repairs on the premises, not much has changed today. Now a second generation owns Valley Sew & Vac, Bill and Helens Son Dave Johnson who took over the business in 1998. Now we carrying high end products like, Janome and Juki sewing machines, Sebo, Miele and Simplicity Vacuum cleaners, IQ Air room to room and in home purifiers, cleaning supplies and sewing notions. Today Dave runs the business with his wife Suzy, and together find that the business just continues to grow. We are happy to say that after 39 years we are still going strong and have our faithful customers to thank for that.

A special Thanks goes out to my mom and dad, for taking a few dollars and investing in my future, they worked hard to build a business and show me that money does not grow on trees, you really do have to work at it, and now after all these years I find great pleasure in serving the good people of the High Desert. I know my dad is looking down from heaven with a smile. ( Bill Johnson passed away on Dec.27th 2007 He is greatly missed) An extra shout goes out to our faithful Father above for blessing us all these years...
